Oh wow this is so great!!! Makes me look back to my high school years where everyone in the classroom including me completely ignored the teacher who was teaching. He didn’t even care to make us listen or pay attention at this point. I feel bad now for that teacher. Thanks for sharing this! Im not a teacher but I’m a mom of 2 under 6 and I can totally practice this to my kiddos!
Thanks Cathy. Teachers vary in how they respond to managing talkative students. Some find it difficult to know how to manage talking well. Most find their own way to capture students attention. I was lucky enough to find mine early in my teaching career. But in some situations I had to adapt them. I've hot lots more to write about that in future posts.
